Indecent Exposure Case

In another significant victory for a client, I was able to get serious felony charge of open and gross lewdness (which carries a sex offender registration requirement and the possibility of 2 1/2 years in jail) reduced to a misdemeanor.  In this case which received press attention after my clients arrest, I was able to convince the Assistant District Attorney to reduce the charge to an admission to a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure (maximum of six months in jail).  My client now does not have to register as a sex offender and in nine months from now if he has no further incidents, the matter will in fact be dismissed with no guilty finding.
